I wrote and illustrated this children’s picture book which addresses the differences and similarities children notice in people with various cultural and economic backgrounds. Good Morning, Friend touches on topics of intercultural awareness and privilege in a way that is engaging for children ages 4-7. One goal I had in this project was to normalize the diverse environments children grow up in by quietly incorporating them into the story without overexaggerating their differences.
